About Victor
Branch Manager
West Hartford, CT
Victor A. Gonzalez is the Branch Manager for NBT Bank in West Hartford, where he leads a dedicated team committed to helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals.
Victor graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and later earned his Master of Business Administration in Management from Albertus Magnus College in 2017. One of six siblings raised by a single mother, Victor’s humble beginnings have deeply shaped his values and drive to give back. His personal journey continues to inspire his commitment to helping others achieve success and reach their financial goals.
In 2018, Victor founded Ties That Tie, a nonprofit organization that began with a simple idea: teaching young people how to tie a tie. What started as a single skill evolved into a movement focused on mentorship, leadership, and confidence-building. Through this work, Victor has inspired countless youth to embrace life skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
His dedication to community service deepened in 2024 when he joined two local nonprofit boards. That July, he became a member of the West Hartford Rotary Club, where he helps organize Vines of March—the club’s largest annual fundraiser supporting scholarships, literacy programs, food assistance, and organizations such as the West Hartford Special Olympics and Johnny’s Jog. Two months later, he joined the finance committee at Playhouse on Park, a dynamic nonprofit theater enriching the community through the arts.
Victor’s leadership and impact have earned him several distinctions. In 2024, he was named Young Professional of the Year by the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, where he remains actively involved in both the Future Leaders of West Hartford (FLOW) and the Minority Business Network. In 2025, he was honored as one of the Hartford Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty, recognizing emerging leaders who excel professionally while making a difference in their communities.
In September 2025, Victor was also recognized at the CT Finest Awards, joining a group of inspiring honorees who collectively raised over $100,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help advance research and move closer to a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF).
At the heart of everything Victor does is a steadfast commitment to empowerment, mentorship, and creating opportunities for others to grow and thrive.
